Rules are not bureaucracy. They are the frame that makes it safe
Therapy works when it has stable boundaries: time, money, agreements. Here is what matters most. The full version is in a PDF.
A session lasts 50 minutes, usually once a week at a time slot reserved for you. Online - Google Meet or Zoom, camera on. Being late does not extend the session: I wait for you for 20 minutes, after that the meeting counts as missed.
You can cancel or reschedule a session free of charge no later than 24 hours in advance. With a later cancellation, the session is paid in full - that is fair to the time reserved for you.
A session costs 60 €. Payment before or right after the session: PayPal, IBAN or card. The fee may be reviewed no more than once a year, with at least a month's notice.
Everything that happens in sessions stays between us. Two exceptions: supervision (discussing the work without names or recognizable details - a professional standard) and a direct threat to life, yours or someone else's.
I don't do therapy by text and I don't combine therapy with other relationships - business or personal. Between sessions you can write about organizational matters; if you want to share something important, better bring it to the meeting - that is where it belongs.
You can end therapy at any moment - that is your right. One request: come to a closing session. Leaving after saying goodbye is a different experience than simply disappearing. Often that is exactly where something important happens.
Cry and laugh. Swear. Talk about sex, money and envy. Be angry - including at me. Be unsuccessful, confused and humanly vulnerable. Say the things you have never told anyone. Stay silent when there are no words yet. You don't have to be convenient here - you have to be real.
